Matthew Cooper Insurance Agency, founded in 1954, is one of the oldest family owned independent insurance agencies on the north shore of Massachusetts. This second-generation family business is owned and operated by Barry Cooper, who joined the agency in 1986, and has continued on with the family tradition by providing quality affordable insurance products and superior personal service to local families, businesses and individuals.
Located in Revere, home of the nation’s oldest public beach, Matthew Cooper built the agency with the two basic principals of honesty and integrity and believed that “reputation was everything.”
He required his staff to always treat each and every customer with courtesy and respect while providing the highest quality service possible. His dedication to the customer’s specific insurance needs and his personal service has contributed to the long-lasting client relationships that we have today.
History
The agency was originally operated by Matthew Cooper from his home in the seaside town of Winthrop, Massachusetts before moving it to the neighboring city of Revere. The agency has experienced significant growth since its humble beginnings but has maintained the same level of service that was expected back in 1954 and is appreciated today.
In 2009, our agency was selected to become a member of the Satellite Agency Network, the largest alliance of independent insurance agencies in the Northeast with over 380 members writing more than $910 million in combined written premium.
